Why I’m Leaving Medium — and Where You Can Find Me Now
Medium changed my life. It gave me a voice. It gave me an audience, and most importantly showed me proof of concept. It affirmed that my words resonate — and that there’s an audience who values what I have to share Most importantly, it contributed to the community that I’m building.
For that, I’m deeply grateful.
However, the time has come for me to move on.
As a feminine business owner — someone who teaches women how to lead with self-worth, soft power, and intention — I’ve found that the structure of Medium has slowly started to work against me.
This platform rewards hustle: more posts, more clicks, more content, less soul. While I believe in consistency, I don’t believe in building a brand that forces me to sacrifice peace for visibility.
The opaque algorithm changes constantly. What performs one week is punished the next. This lack of stability isn’t just frustrating — it stifles creativity and as a writer, that’s a non-negotiable for me. Medium doesn’t even let you download the emails of people who have specifically signed up to be notified when you post new content. Why should they own the audience that I built?
